The author Shri Harbans Singh has dealt in the book 'Jammu-Kashmir aur Maharaja Hari Singh' the troubled history of the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the critical period of Maharaja Hari Singh's reign. In doing so, it brings into focus the different forces that had begun to pull in different directions almost two decades before the events of India's Partition and the issue of Accession overwhelmed the State.
