The book at hand for review and updation, is a popular commentary onthe subject of Civil Procedure. The fact that the sixth edition of this commentaryis being released reflects the utility of this book for the Bench and Bar andwhosoever is concerned with the field.More recently, some significant amendments have been incorporated in theCode of Civil Procedure, 1908 by the Act 4 of 2016, namely, the CommercialCourts, Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division of High CourtsAct, 2015. In the present sixth edition, all amendments made under this Act havebeen incorporated very carefully. During the revision of the commentary, severalunnecessary materials have been taken out and the Court’s decisions which havenow lost their utility have also been deleted.
