This book looks at the basic elements of biblical interpretation, specifically addressing the issue of postcolonial hermeneutics and its application in the text John 4. The study is placed in the contemporary context using insights from sociology and history in constructing a possible hermeneutical paradigm for our context. To arrive at a possible hermeneutical pardigm for a postcolonial context, the basics of postcolonial biblical interpretation have been presented in detail.
