At present COVID-19 is the most prominent global issue which has affected every aspect of human life. It is being seen as the biggest threat to humanity after the Second World War. Due to its rapid spread, the World Health Organization declared it a public health emergency. Today even powerful countries are feeling helpless in this pandemic phase. This pandemic has been badly affected by countries that already have weak health care systems and those who are facing poverty, inequality and has a major impact on vulnerable sections of society such as women, elderly, children, disabled persons. The human population is facing multistage crises like health, employment, malnutrition. Although there has been an outbreak of pandemics in every century, human society has accepted this challenge and started to emerge from it. At the time of writing the book, there have been 63,719,213 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 1,482,084 deaths reported all over the world. At the global level, scientific research and vaccine making efforts are underway. Possibly vaccine will come soon. But it may take a long time to recover human life and social fabric from this pandemic situation. Therefore, this book covers the topic related to socioeconomic, physical, the mental impact of COVID-19 and the crisis, emerging challenges like education, health, employment, migration, culture and art.
