This volume is the outcome of two day National Seminar on “Women’s Economic Empowerment and Inclusive Growth” on 7-8 March 2017 at Kazi Nazrul Islam Mahavidyalaya, Churulia, organized by the Department of Economics, Kazi Nazrul Islam Mahavidyalaya, Churulia, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, Deshabandhu Mahavidyalaya, Chittaranjan, sponsored by the University Grants Commission. After the initiation of economic reforms in 1990 India experienced a comparatively high rate of growth than the early decades since independence. The Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization had acted as driving force in helping the economy to come out of the so called Hindu rate of growth. But this growth in economy is coupled with increasing inequalities.
