Swami Sahajanand Saraswati (1889-1950) was a fiery militant peasant leader, frontline freedom fighter, formulator and political philosopher and a guiding light for working class movements in the fight against exploitation and oppression. The present work attempts to create a departure point for those who want to know his theorizarion, activism and philosophy. The book tries to present a account of his life interspersed with his political formulation and activism. The first such comprehensive attempt to present his biography and bring out his contributions to debates of historical importance- spirituality, nationalism and socialism- also critically evaluates his actions and tactics. This work draws heavily from the exiting works and adds new materials which have emereged over the past decade.
